The mom switch

I'm typing from my phone, so if there are typos and misspelled words,
please overlook them.

Today i'm 10 weeks pregnant. I went to the store today and I didn't
mean to buy a new little coach purse, but I did. So I'm wondering when
does the mom switch turn on and I stop buying things like that and buy
stuff for baby bates? Does it happen when I start to show because
then I remember I'm pregnant? I forget that I am sometimes. Or after
I know the gender? Or one morning I wake up and I start to think like
a mom?

Ok, so that's what I was wondering. Maybe now that I put it out there,
I will be able to sleep with a clear mind. Good night all.

I'm supposed to be napping

I just got home from doing some errands and Andy just got done with midnight basketball. We are tired so we decided to take a nap before chatting...but I decided to blog for just a minute.

At what point do you start to wear maternity clothes? Obviously when you start to show is a good answer to the question. Except I have a problem. My current clothes are fine to wear but when I tried on clothes today in my regular size, they don't fit right. They feel tight, especially in my boob area because they have grown. What should I do about this? If I get that new job, I'll have to do some shopping...but what kind of clothes to get? What a dilemma!

Interesting Developments

The past several days have been interesting and I've decided to try and make a few changes. I say "try" because I'm not quite sure how things will turn out yet. Work has been stressful to say the least. I'm very frustrated at how things have become. I have asked to be transferred to a new position that would have me working with school aged children once again. I won't find out till later this week, but I'm hoping that it will work out.

As far as Baby Bates...I am so tired. Today I went to breakfast and then did just a smidge of shopping and I needed to come home and take a three hour nap. Nuts! I purchased a Boppy today...the first thing that I've gotten for Baby Bates. I'm still reluctant to buy things because I guess I'm still quite nervous about having a miscarriage again. Although I'm sure things will be fine this time around since I saw the heartbeat.

I didn't realize (good thing Annie came with me to the doctor appt and reminded me) that Baby Bates was moving. I saw and heard the heartbeat and I suppose it made super excited that I neglected to realize he/she was moving. By the way, I'm pretty sure we're having a boy, so maybe we should just start saying "he". Isn't that crazy though! He's was only eight weeks and he's moving around in there.

He's probably really turning around in there now since I just discovered that pickle juice over popcorn is really yummy. And I have drank some of the pickle juice as well. I'm sure it can't be great for you, but I couldn't help myself. I've always loved pickles but this really has taken it to a new level.

Talk with you soon!

Dinner at Annie's

Annie invited me to dinner tonight. She isn't working with me anymore and missed me. She made homemade mac and cheese and cake (also homemade). I am still very full from dinner and it was two hours ago.

I had a stressful moment today right after work and before I got to Annie's house. I had just gotten off work and headed to her house when the car wouldn't start. It has a push start and the start didn't work. I didn't know what to do! The first thing I did was look in the manual but that was no help. Then I emailed Andy and asked him to call me. Luckily he was near his computer (he was being lazy and hadn't gotten out of bed yet). He called right away and told me what to do. I always thought those push start was cool. But at that moment, all I thought about was, "what I wouldn't do for a regular car key".

Eric, Annie's husband, checked it out for me. Guess what? When he went to the car, it started right up for him. What the heck is that about? It also started for me when I got in it to come home. I'm going to call Nissan about it tomorrow because that should not be happening. But if it does happen again, at least I know how to fix it temporarily so I can get to where I need to go =).

If this has typos, please forgive me. I'm way to lazy to proof read. Its a blog, not a paper for school.

Worn Out

This week has made me completely worn out. First of all, work has been stressful. We've had a lot of changes go on so far and now it seems like that may have just been the beginning. I'm hoping things end up being okay but in reality, I'm really not that hopeful.

Some good news to report...Andy's softball game are the bast champions. They had playoffs last week and then on Monday and Tuesday. Andy made sure I went. Well they lost on Monday and when I left last night, they were losing by A LOT!. But then I learned that they won. Apparently the team that beat them cheated and had to forfeit. So they played another team and won. I can't believe I left before all the drama occurred. But as I just said, work has me worn out and all I kept hearing was our bed calling my name.

I'm so happy that tonight I was able to come home right after work and relax. Andy doesn't understand that I'm so tired. He thinks I should be out and about more. But the baby takes all my energy right now. I hear in the second trimester you get your energy back. I'm sure hoping so because I'm tired right now. Actually, I don't know if it is the baby or the fact that I don't sleep well at night. I have a hard time sleeping when Andy isn't next to me. BUT, I do enjoy sleeping in the middle of the bed!

That's all for now. I have a skype date with the hubby in about fifteen min. Talk with you soon!

I saw Andy

After three weeks without seeing Andy, we finally got to skype last night. We are opposite schedules, so it was his afternoon and like two in the morning for me. But it was all worth it to be able to see him. I hope that we'll get to skype more often but I will take what ever I can get. He'll be home before I know it.

I hope everything is well with everyone out there.
