Baby Dream

Last night I had a dream about the baby. I had a dream that I had a baby girl. She had my shape eyes but the eye color was a blue/green, a light brown hair, and my skin color. She was beautiful! But now I'm wondering if the dream means we are going to have a baby girl.

We don't find out the gender at the doctors office for 6 or 7 weeks from now. I can get it done earlier at a 4D ultrasound place. Andy and I were going to go there and find out before the doc appointment, but now it looks like Andy's date to leave there is going to be pushed back several weeks. Which means he could possibly miss the appointment. Soooo....he said I can go now in September and find out the gender and he'd be okay with that. I plan on making the appointment for a couple of weeks from now. IF Andy gets to come home on the original date, then I'll reschedule the appointment for when he gets back. But if his date is changed then I'll get the 4D ultrasound in mid-September.

Did any of this make sense?

One heck of a day...part 2 and 3

Oh wow! It has been a crazy few days. Let me tell you what else happened. Eric (Annie's husband) and a friend came over yesterday morning to jump the car. It started right up and they drove it around for about thirty minutes and then brought it to my work. So I get off work, get in the car, and it doesn't start again. Okay. I walk over to Firestone since it is very near and ask them if they can go to my car. Apparently they don't go to cars, the cars come to them. They said I needed to find someone to jump it and then I can take it in to get a new battery. One of the people I work with, her husband tried to jump it for over thirty minutes and it wouldn't start. I call Firestone again and they must have felt bad for me because they made an exception and came to my rescue. Although it didn't work. They tested the battery and it was dead. I went back to Firestone and bought a battery. The guy installed it in the parking lot of my work. I tried to start it once again, and what do you know! It didn't start again. This is now two hours after I got off work. One of my co-workers gave me a ride home.

Early this morning I called a tow truck and Nissan. I had to walk from one end of the base to the other side to meet the tow truck. Got the car towed and taken to Nissan. I don't know what was wrong with the car BUT everything was covered under the warranty including getting the car towed. After that I went to work. I'm exhausted from the past few days and even though it's early, I'm ready for bed!

Andy says he's really proud of me for getting everything taken care of. I had a lot of nice people help me out and without them I'm sure it would have been worse. Andy told me not to get used to doing all that stuff because he likes taking care of it. He likes taking care of me =)

One heck of a day

As I start to write this, I'm going to say that I'm very tired and I just hope this makes sense (since I don't proof-read).

I woke up this morning with the same headache I had from yesterday and I also had a bad dream. Not a great way to wake up. I get ready. And when I say I get ready, I mean I throw my hair up and wear no make-up. Breakfast consist of pickles and something else that I can't remember. I go out to car and I find it won't start. Are you kidding me! The start button that starts the car, didn't start the car! After calling work to tell them I'd be late, I proceed to walk to work. Andy should be happy about that since he's been saying I need to walk.

The day goes okay but my headache continues throughout the day.

I get home and what do you know! I can't get in the house. My key won't open the door. I call the housing people and they say it could be up to two hours before they get there. I say "okay, I'm just sitting on the porch, waiting". The porch is concrete. An hour into waiting, Annie showed up with a happy meal for me. She tried to unlock the door too. No luck. Andy called his senior chief that lives very near us. He tires, no luck! Finally after an hour and a half, the guy shows up and he can't get in. He calls the lock smith. What do you know...he says, do x, y, and z. Yup, it opens right up.

I am now having awful back pain from sitting on the porch for so long. I'm ready for bed.

Disaster Recipe

I have been wanting this cheese dip that I would get in Kansas at the Mexican restaurant. Today I looked up how to make it and I found a recipe that I thought I would try. After I got off work I went and got the ingredients and was ready to make a really yummy dinner. Andy and I got on skype for a while but I had to get off so I could make this dip and have it for dinner.

Well apparently I can't read very well. I didn't get enough cheese. So there I was mixing ingredients and thought it looks weird. Of course it did without cheese. I am making cheese dip for goodness sakes! So I'm going to try it again tomorrow if I feel like eating that for dinner. I'll let you know how it goes =)

Shoes!

Andy loves shoes! Okay, not just shoes...basketball shoes. Before Andy left he got these basketball shoes that he just loves. For the past couple of weeks Andy has been obsessing about getting another pair of these shoes. He scoured the internet looking for these shoes and has been unsuccessful. He even emailed someone in the UK about them. But leave it to me to get them for him here in Hawaii. They are waiting in the dining room for his return. You should have heard his voice and how excited he is. So he now has two pairs of the same shoe. He'll use one for daily wear and the other one for basketball only. He likes shoes like the way I like bags. Which is why he can't say too much when I get a new bag =).

Speaking of bags briefly. I have decided that I will refrain from purchasing anymore bags for a while. I was eating on the dining room table and I had four or five bags just hanging out there. I wasn't using any of them. So I'm giving it a break for a while. The next bag I buy will be the diaper bag.

Grocery Shopping

I have started to hate grocery shopping! Nothing sounds good to me. I go there and just wander around aimlessly trying to figure out what I can put together and call a meal. I spent 80 bucks today and I didn't get anything that hardly resembled real meals. Okay, I did get two boxes of mac-n-cheese! Andy of course wants me to eat more. But how can I when food is not appetizing to me at all! He says, just eat...who cares what it taste like. Isn't that the best part of food though? The taste!

Vacation Saturday

On Saturday I was invited by Annie and Eric for a vacation day. We went to Northshore (other side of the island) and had lunch, went to see turtles, and went to the Dole Plantation.

It was so much fun. Except I got sick on the way to Northshore, about a 45 minute drive, and had to jump out of the car and go to the bathroom right away to toss my cookies. It was not good at all. I hardly ate lunch since I was still feeling a bit nauseous. But the day must continue even though things like that happen. I don't know if it is from being pregnant or the fact that I've been ill off and on for the past couple of weeks. I haven't had any morning sickness or anything like that the entire time I've been pregnant. Anyway, on with our day....

They took me to this beach I've never been to. They film Lost there. But the reason we went was to see the turtles. I was able to get close to one and take a picture. Andy said I looked scared and I was! Those turtles are huge and what if it bit me!

Last we went to the Dole Plantation. I had never been. Andy asked if I wanted to go when I was here the first time...but I did not want to go there. It didn't sound very exciting at all. But they sure did have some yummy treats. Annie suggested the chocolate covered pineapple. That was delicous. The pineapple float (pineapple ice cream w/pineapple juice), not so delicous. Eric suggested that. I also got a banana smoothie the was quite yummy. I got that right away. After the beach, I needed something refreshing!

It was a wonderful day with the Sirkins. It is nice that we live in a place where we can have a vacation day.

Baby Bump

So...I think I'm finally getting a baby bump. Here is a pic. Andy said I don't look very excited, but its hard to take a picture with that dang iphone. You have to concentrate or the picture will be blury. So here it is... (I just need my belly button area to fill out)

And YES!, Andy already called me out for not having the empty toilet paper roll still on the toilet paper place (I can't think of the word) and the new roll sitting on the counter. But the make-up is gone....we can't have everything in life.

Black Eyed Peas Concert

Here is a few pictures from the concert. They have been posted on Facebook...so check them out! I will say it again...I hadn't had that much fun in a while. I'm so glad we went! I know Andy would have like to have been there because he really likes the BEP.

Me, Danielle, and Laci

The group
Fergie

Proud Wife

Andy had to move from his deployment site for a few days to do some work. While he was there he received his EAWS Wings. He (we) studied very hard for him to take a test and go up against a board.
I keep telling him about his smile! But he was caught off guard. He received a NAM, which is an achievement medal. I'm so proud of him! His friends told him not to tell me and when he got home be like "BAM, look what I got!". I told him it was probably a good idea on his part that he called and told me. I would have disappointed him and been like..."ummm, what's that". My reaction over the phone was much better!

Jon and Kate plus 8

I am so soo sooo sick of hearing about Jon and Kate. Confessions: I used to watch them when I caught them on TV. I would watch them and think, "Gosh Kate is mean to Jon" and "I don't think they like each other", "she's bossy", "he's dumb".

Do I think it's sad that they're marriage ended? Of course I am. They have EIGHT kids for goodness sakes. Okay, maybe sad is a little strong. I'm not sure what the word I'm looking for, but I feel bad for the kids. However, I find it ridiculous that every time I go on to my gossip sites, that I have to see how Jon is dating all these young ladies and how he cheated on Kate..and blah...blah...blah. They are not actors/models/superstars! They are real people. Hmmm...okay, so celebrities are real people too...but you know what I mean, right?

All I'm saying is I don't want to see them anymore. If I want to keep up with their lives, I'll turn on the TV and watch them.

Okay...enough of my rants =)

Black Eyed Peas

Tonight I saw the black eyed peas in concert for bayfest. It was such
an amazing show. I'll post pics on facebook soon (maybe on here too).
It was my first time at bayfest and I can't wait to go again next
year! Bayfest is a carnival and concert type thing that they hold
yearly. Amazing!

Too good not to share

As you know, I have been having issues with cleaning lately. Well today I was on babycenter.com reading through the discussions of other mommies due in February. The discussion was titled "Confessions". Most of them were talking about how the house chores aren't getting done! AHHH! It's just not me! Isn't that great news! I though I would share that with you since I was feeling awful about not being motivated to clean.

Laziness

I can't decide if I've become lazy or if I'm extremely tired which makes me lazy. I think there is a difference. Andy would agree with me on this. When he was here, I was always working on stuff around the house. I liked being domestic and having a clean house. Since Andy left, I have no motivation to keep up the house work. But I really am tired! I wonder though, if it has to do with Andy not being home. I don't feel like I have to worry so much about getting things done. Or maybe its a combination of both events (Andy leaving and getting pregnant) happening at the same time. Whatever the reason...I sent a picture to Andy and he totally called me out for having make-up in the downstairs bathroom. LOL...I told him I've taken over the whole house. He thought I should have it all picked up by the time he gets home. I said, oh no! You're cleaning it when you get home. Oh geezz! Of course I'll have all my stuff picked up and put away before he gets home. But I am sure he'd be disappointed if he saw my make-up in the middle of the living room floor, my hair products all over my dresser, water bottles on the nightstand, and unfolded clean clothes in the laundry room.

I know this is shocking for everyone...but please don't judge me. I really am extremely tired and lack complete motivation. Andy thinks because I'm heading into the 2nd trimester that I should be getting my energy back. I have gotten some back but it doesn't last very long.

Okay then...there is my confession for the day. Chat with you later!

Peace of Mind

It has been an interesting day for me. I've been cramping all day today. At first they felt like the normal ones, but then they got worse. I left work to go see the doc. I was praying all the way to the hospital for everything to be okay. And in the end it was. The resident didn't seem very optimistic at first. That really scared me. But then Baby Bates was doing back flips when she did the ultrasound! How awesome is that! And yes, we got a new pic. Here is our baby:

Look at the difference in just three weeks. Amazing!
So even though I'm still having cramps, I can at least have peace of mind that Baby Bates in fine!

Being a Teacher

The school year is starting up again and I am so envious of my teacher friends. When I was teaching, I thought "I just need a break!". My job title is "lead teacher" but I'm really just in charge of a room. I miss teaching elementary kids every day. I miss seeing the light bulb turn on, the conversations, the laughing, and my teacher friends. I hope to teach again soon...or I guess whenever I can. I'm at the mercy of Andy's career now.

Baby Advice

Andy has given me some baby advice. He and the baby need me to start drinking milk. I hate milk. I think it goes back to when my mom would make my sister and I drink it at dinner time (sorry mom). For the longest time I didn't even like to touch the milk carton. I am over that now because of working in the baby room. But that doesn't mean I want to drink it! I told Andy I would try and drink chocolate milk. I think I'll try that this weekend...maybe. The doc said it was fine that I don't drink milk because I eat yogurt and lots of cheese. Andy makes a good point when he said if the baby is anything like him, it'll be important for me to drink milk so our baby will have strong bones. I asked him if it was because of Andy being clumsy or the athletic part. Andy said both! I'll let you know how operation drink milk goes. I am not making any promises!

Speaking of our baby. I think I might have felt the baby move last night. I'm not quite sure, but I have never felt that before. It wasn't gas by the way! Andy read that it is possible to feel the baby move this early and then I also read it too. I'll let you know if it happens again any time soon. Bye for now.

Fears

Andy will not like this post. Andy, if you are starting to read this, don't read it because I'm sure you'll just get upset at me.

Everything has been going well with the pregnancy thus far. But last time we were pregnant, things went well until they didn't. As of tomorrow I will make it past the time I miscarried last time. I saw and heard the heartbeat and after that the chances of miscarrying go way down. However, I'm still very nervous that I will miscarry again. Andy gets upset with me worrying because he doesn't want me to be negative. I had never gone through anything that was so painful in every way. I do not want to go through that again. Especially because if it does happen again, Andy will once again not be around to help me through it.

I am going to think positive since I have made it this far. So here's to the 11th week! Will you please just continue to pray for us (if you pray).

My Husband

I would like to start this blog with a question that my friend Annie asked. She asked if this is my blog or my journal. I said, "well isn't a blog and a journal the same thing?". I think it is. BUT...the blog names is "Life of Daisie and Andy", not Life of Daisie. It's not my fault that this blog is from my point of view and the happening in my life since Andy chooses not share his happenings on here...right? His life right now is pretty blah. So there isn't much for him to say on here anyway.

Speaking of Andy, I have been on babycenter.com reading the discussion boards on there. I've been reading about husbands and boyfriends being awful to their pregnant partners. I'm sure it was like that before pregnancy but it is so much worse when you're pregnant. This isn't Andy.

As you know, things have not always been perfect in our marriage, but I could never imagine him treating me like some of these ladies are getting treated. I would never tolerate that treatment first of all. But reading those discussion boards have made me appreciate Andy so much more.

He is very attentive to me but even more so now that we've become pregnant. He helps around the house ( I really miss that right now because I have no motivation to keep it up), bakes delicious cookies, helps with cooking and cleaning, and lets me buy handbags that I don't need. I don't have a perfect husband, but I have a near perfect one. I'm a lucky gal!
