Our Dinner!

Today I tried a new recipe-bbq baby back ribs! They were so delicious and tender. Literally fell off the bone. Yummy!

I'm going to try harder!

I'm going to try harder, although I'm sure no one reads it anymore since I don't keep up with it. It's been so hectic with moving in to a new house and traveling...I'm darn right exhausted.

We've been having the hardest time getting Annabella to sleep through the night in her crib. We never had this problem until this past couple of months. All the traveling has really messed up her nightly routine. And now her parents are tired from getting up at least twice a night. AND she moves so much in the bed. One minute she's kicking me in the back and the next her head is pushing me off the bed. We keep saying we're going to put her in her crib and then let her cry it out. But that is easier said than done. Her cry is so sad to me.

All of our travels have been wonderful though. We were able to meet my cousin's baby girl and my college friend's son. Both are very close in age to Annabella. She loves other kids. I often think I might be doing her a bit of harm by keeping her home. I need to find play groups ASAP. She is so social and I don't want her to lose that.

I am trying to be a stay at home mom for a bit. It's harder than I imagined. Harder because Annabella likes to spread her toys all over the place and unfold my laundry. It sure is nice to not feel pressure of work and household chores, BUT I still have quite a bit to do in order to get this place organized. I'll get there eventually.

I'm really going to try and make it a habit to blog everyday. Wish me luck!

Good news!

I can now blog right on blogger from my iPad. Before I couldn't! I think I will for sure be on here more often! Off to New Mexico for a few days to see my extended family. Pic to come!

UMMM...why isn't it working!

I have tried posting several posts on here using my blackberry, but it is not working. HELP! So I guess I will do it the old fashioned way and use the computer.

As I type this, I should be taking a nap since Annabella is. But there are tons of things to do. Andy has tasked me with things but I think updating my iPad and doing the blog are more important right now.

We will be moving into a house this week. Thank goodness. I can't wait to have our own place again. Getting our things would be even better though! Soon...maybe mid-December.

Annabella was able to play in the snow over the Thanksgiving holiday while we were in Wisconsin. Oh wow was it cold! Andy and I had both forgotten how cold cold is. But we bought some long underwear and that made things a lot better. Although we both lost our noses due to frost bite while watching Harry Potter in the theater.

Well the ipad is done updating, so I better do some work.

TOO COLD!

Hello all! We are currently in cold and snowy Wisconsin for Thanksgiving. It is so cold here. We have been doing so much traveling over the last several weeks. Living out of a suitcase is NO fun. Its been 23 days and counting. We have all adjusted to the time difference and Annabella is back on her sleep schedule.

Andy and I found a house to rent. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home with a huge backyard. I'm looking forward to playing back there with Annabella. The home has an odd layout but we are excited to put our things in there and decorate.

I will start job hunting soon and hopefully finding a wonderful daycare for our baby girl to spend her days. I'm pretty sure I will try to work at the child development center again. They seem to always be looking for help. I'm not worried so much about getting into the position I was in but rather just getting my foot in the door and with a little luck, climbing the ladder again.

Where is the Sun?

What a dreary day! The sun was no where to be seen. It rained all day which made me quite lazy but I wasn't lazy. Laundry and dishes got done and we did a bit of shopping to prepare for the cooler temperatures. I hope we have enough room in our suitcases! Too bad. I told Andy it was a perfect day to sit in my cozy recliner with a blanket and drink hot chocolate. No it wasn't cold but there was a bit of a chill. Winter has definitely hit Hawaii.

In other dreary news...Annabella had quite the day. We think her teeth are bothering her. She wasn't herself this evening and had to go on an evening walk to calm her down. I am sure she is also confused about what going on. Her routine has completely changed. Poor baby!

Other than that, it seems as though everything is falling into place. I read a facebook status update (Tana Kelly's) that said "is choosing to believe that certain aspects of life have to fall apart in order for something good to fall into place". And so it seems that things are starting to fall into place in our lives as well. Or so we hope!

Movers

Today the movers came and emptied our house. In nine days we will be headed to Oklahoma with a pit stop in Kansas. With everything happening, i've been a bit reflective over the last 2 years and how much has changed in our life as a family. When I moved here, it was only Andy and I living with roommates. And now we have a home and a baby! Yikes...we might have become grown ups too! I didn't know anyone, and now I have more friends here than Andy does. Although I am the more social of us two. And I have a feeling Annabella will be even more so than me.

The friends I have made, have become a part of my extended family. We are so blessed to have so many amazing people in our lives. I'm so sad that I have to leave them but excited to see all my old pals! With technology none of our friends are very far away.
