Pineapple upside down cake

Andy asked before he got home if I could get the ingredients for him to bake a pineapple upside down cake. Well of course! I love it when Andy bakes! At 3:30 this morning he was wide awake and obviously thinking about this cake. He got up and baked it. He didn't want to leave me upstairs alone so I had to come down and sleep on the couch. Good thing its comfy! The cake was very delicious. I only had one piece. Andy needs to eat the whole thing so he can put some weight on. He lost too much on deployment. Here's the final product.

More of our baby girl

Thursday we went for our big 20 week ultrasound. I had to go with a full bladder and I had to pee so bad. Andy kept trying to make me laugh so I'd pee my pants. What kind of husband does that!?!? He says its the only time that it would be cool to do. Crazy! He thought it would be a funny thing to write about on the blog. I don't think so. Seeing her is always such a joy for me. Andy couldn't take his eyes off the screen. His favorite part was seeing her jaw moving. He is still in amazement over it. He said he wishes he could watch her all the time. We will have to go back and get a special sono done on her heart because of some family history. But her heart and everything looked great!
Her feet. She has my feet! Her second toe is longer than her big toe. Andy was excited to hear this because supposedly if you have feet like this you're supposed to be a good athlete. I don't know about that because I am no athlete. But Andy is, so maybe she'll get that from him.
This is when her jaw was moving. I told Andy I'll remind him of how in awe he was of this when she starts talking all the time. Oh, for that matter when she starts back talking her dad!
Annabella's hand on her head. Andy is convinced one of her fingers is up. But I can't tell. Maybe you can.

I think her best profile yet. I'm almost sure she has my head shape. Lets keep our fingers crossed! Hopefully she gets my little ears too. Andy has big ears =)

She's sucking her thumb. The ultrasound tech asked which one of us is left handed. Neither of us are but my twin is. She said that normally, whatever hand they favor in the womb will be their dominant hand. Nina reminded me of how hard it was for my mom to teach her how to tie her shoes and stuff because everything is backwards for them. Yikes! Andy on the other hand, got even more excited to hear she might be a lefty. She'll be able to go left for basketball. Apparently that's a really good thing. Andy has big plans for her.

BIG Week

This is a very big week for all of us. Andy arrives home in about 19 hours from now. The time went so slow but when I look back it seemed to have actually gone fast. I missed him so much everyday. I mostly missed how we work as a team...and it was hard not having my teammate. But we have made it through. He is currently in Washington D.C. and getting some rest. He is actually feeling a bit under the weather but I think its from all the traveling. Tomorrow he has two more flights before he gets to me.

And of course, as I mentioned last time, Annabella's ultrasound is on Thursday. Last, I thought I would show you what I woke up to on Monday morning.

I feel like I grew since I posted the pic from the last one. There is only a three day difference, but I guess in three days, BIG things can happen =)

This and That

Several things have transpired over the last few days that I thought I should share. So here is what's been going on.

Birthday Woes
In just a couple of weeks I turn the BIG 3-0. Yes, 30...and I feel perfectly fine about that. But here is the sad part. I thought we had birthday plans all set up. We'd make my birthday be the whole weekend, not just one day. We planned on having a couples massage and going to Sea Life Park. Tonight I was doing some research about Sea Life Park and realized I can't do any of the fun stuff like hang out with the dolphins or the sea lions because I'm pregnant. More rules! I don't want you guys to think that I ever regret being pregnant or anything like that. I love being pregnant with my Annabella...but it is a bummer when I can't do so many things. Yes, we'll still get the couples massage, but now we have to come up with a plan b.

Pregnancy News
I have now gained weight. Did I tell you that already? I weigh myself every morning and find that I now fluctuate between 1 and 2 pounds gained. I'm sure the weight is coming on any day now and it will come on fast. She is supposed to be growing quite a bit right now.

I feel her more and more everyday. For the longest time, I would really only feel her when I was talking with Andy. I think she already knows her daddy. But now I find her moving around a lot and it feels wonderful!

On Thursday I have the big ultrasound where they check and make sure everything is going well with her insides. I do worry a bit, maybe more nervous. I'm sure she is fine, but you just never know. Andy will be making it for this appointment and that makes me so extremely happy. I'm excited for him to see her. I'm also eager to find out how big she is!

Random Stuff
Living on base has it's perks. On Saturday, I locked myself out of the house. It was so nice to call the maintenance people and they came to unlock the door. And at no charge!

The house is for the most part, cleaned. I wish I could say the same for the car. I'll wash the outside, but I think the inside might just have to stay how it is. Sorry Andy =)

I suppose that's it for now. Have a great Tuesday everyone. I'm off to bed.

Oliver is Sad

Today I went to the big mall...Ala Moana. I went there because Victoria Secret finally opened up. Supposedly, it's the largest one in the world. And I have to tell you, its huge! Yes, I spent some of my hard earned money there and enjoyed every bit of it.

While I was there, I had planned on picking up Oliver a new outfit. But Build-a-Bear was no longer in its place. So I went and looked at the map, and what do you know! Build-a-Bear has left Hawaii. Oliver is so sad that he didn't get anything new.

It was a very busy day for me. I went to a first birthday party for one of the kids at my center and then went to the mall. I was gone all day. Its a good thing I slept for about eleven and a half hours the night before. But here it is, 7:25 at night and I'm thinking its time for bed.

I have another long day ahead of me tomorrow. I need to go to the grocery store, clean house and do laundry. Andy says I should just wait until Monday because Sunday is supposed to be my rest day. His arrival is in a couple of days and I need to get all this stuff done AND clean the car out and wash it. Will I get it all done? I sure do hope so =)

He's funny?

Andy has gotten funnier while he's been away. Tonight we were talking about just random stuff. Our conversation went to how he likes things to be pretty and that I'm glad he can't see this place right now. Here is the rest of our converstaion:

ANDY: I can only imagine. If you would see this place right now you would be like
WHAT...............???????? its not the cleanest places I have ever stayed. But I am disgruntle right now with all this change of plans crapp.

DAISIE: hmmm...i think i'll make that my excuse too! Its a good one.

ANDY: You cant use my words. You got to come up with your own words. Just like a woman, its like being in the store and you're in the small male section shopping for you. jump back on that I'm pregnant bus and ride the wheels off of that before you take my excuse. LOL

It made me laugh very hard. I didn't have anything else to say in response to this. I hope you think its funny like I did. Andy has his funny moments and I think this is one of them.
