Are you kidding me?

I pretty darned mad at myself. My birthday is on Saturday. For one of my presents, my mom is getting my the Harry Potter movies. She owns them but I want a set for myself to take back to Hawaii. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and I often watch the movies when I feel lazy. Last night I was looking on-line for the movies. So often you can find very good deals on-line. And what do you know?!?! I found the box set of the movies on Target.com for $54.99! Wow, what a deal. I looked the same box set up on Bestbuy.com and it was on there for $134.99. Well I bought them instantly on Target.com. I can't pass up that deal. It was cheaper than buying them separately. Andy called last night and I was soooo excited to tell him the great buy I found. I tell him they are HD DVD's and so they must be better than the regular DVD's. And he says to me that he doesn't think you can play those kind of DVD's on just any player. It has to be a special player like the Blue-Ray DVD's. Can you imagine my smile turning to a frown instantly? Are you kidding me? He say he could be wrong...but I was pretty sure he knew what he was talking about.

So today I look up this whole HD DVD...and Andy was right. So now I have DVD's coming my way that I can't watch. Of course I'm going to send them right back as soon as I get them but I sure am bummed out to know I didn't really get that great of a deal if I can't watch them.
