Good evening. Oh do I have a tale to tell today. In my last post, it gave the plan for today, and it pretty much went just like that. After breakfast and going to the mall so Andy could get new board shorts and one of those tight t-shirts that surfers wear (he looked good) we finally got on our way to climb a mountain. On the way there we stopped and took some pics at the lookouts. Then it was time. We climbed Diamond Head last summer and they had said this is harder. It doesn't look hard but it is. Thank goodness for the camera stamping the time on pictures, it took me 2 and 1/2 hours to go up and back down. Andy was very patient with me and very motivating. While I had to stop A LOT, I never wanted to quit and was determined to make it up. We met quite a few people and one guy even gave us two waters. Andy didn't really want me to put this in, but I believe in being honest and telling the story completely. I cried two times while doing this hike. It was the hardest, physical thing I have ever done. Once going up and I was about two-thirds done. It was so steep and hot going up. I then cried at the "top". It wasn't the top, it was just the top of the stairs. Then we had to walk up some rocks. I cried and told Andy "you said this was the top and it's not". It was just too much for me; I was ready to be done. The view from the top was nice, but my muscles were sore already and I didn't care very much to hang out long. I wanted off the mountain and the only way to get off was to go back down. It wasn't bad going down but I did sort of twist my ankle. It was dirt, rocks, and my footing was a little unsteady. Andy helped me down by holding my hand when it was hard.
When we got down the mountain we went to
Haunama Bay so Ed, his friend, and Andy could snorkel. I was happy to lay on the beach and listen to my
Ipod. But I did get into the water and hang out for a little bit. Then we had dinner at Outback. We are both happy to be home in bed now. I can't imagine how I'm going to feel tomorrow and Monday because I already feel sore. My poor muscles haven't worked this hard in a long time. I put pics below and I'll caption them so you know what you're looking at. Talk with you later.

The mountain we climbed.

Right before we climbed the mountain with my game face on.

Just 1/3 up and I'm giving it the thumbs down.

The mountain in the background is Diamond Head and we are above it now.
Haunama Bay from the mountain.

Just made it to the top.

At the top. I love this picture!

Andy still smiling after all I put him through going up the mountain.
Haunama Bay: The stuff in the water is the coral reef. You can't touch it because you'll damage it.
My toes while I was laying on the beach while everyone is snorkeling.
